Love Yourself Closet Clean

My Journey:

Having too much clothing in your closet often does the opposite of what we think it will do.

Have you experienced this?
You fill our closet with items because they are a “good buy” or they are “comfortable.”

However, after you get it home from the store, you find that the color or fit are wrong.

You don't end up wearing a lot of the items you purchase, or if you happen to muster up the fortitude to "Just Wear it," you end up feeling frumpy.

Do you love the items in your closet? When was the last time you got rid of the things you never wear?

Too Much Clothing Stunts Creativity

I'm Not the Size I want to be Yet?

I have learned that I need to love myself in any size.

It doesn’t matter where you're at in your journey, if you don't love yourself in the body you have now-Big, small, short, tall-you won’t love yourself regardless.

I know this is true from my experience; when I was a much smaller size, I didn’t love myself as much as I do today-I always complained that I "looked fat," yet I would LOVE to be that size again, haha.

It took time to truly learn to love myself.  The clothing I am wearing can help me to love myself too...I used to think that I would dress better, “when I lost weight” or “got to _x_ size.”

It's important to love yourself enough to dress in a way that made you feel good, even if you aren't your “ideal weight.”

The side effects you will see that come from caring for yourself in this way will be great!  It will also start to overlap other areas in your life.

In my journey of learning to love myself more, I have been working on loving each item in my closet.

I would much rather have a few pieces and feel like a million bucks, than have a closet full of items that I don’t wear much.

I have been researching & studying many fashion sources to help me on this mission.  This journey has been an ongoing one for a couple of years, and that can be how long it takes, unless you have some help.

Isn't a Makeover About More Than Just Updating Your Closet?
